Visit my old Church
On Sunday, Cissy, who was my group leader in my old Church, ringed me to know my recent situation and complimented on my photos I took in China (very happy), while we didn't contact for 3 years at least. Actually, I met her in the MTR on September and we started to stay in touch by e-mail. On the conversation, she invited me to join her church's function---Workshop on Church development. I decided to join as we didn't contact them for ages, also wanna ask the Bible study in our group, like books recommended, experience sharing....etc.
Tonight, I joined the talk, I found it's really useful. The speaker stated what "Baptist" is, like mission and vision, belief, system, history..... enjoyed it so much!!
原來中國人真的對名字是十分執著。於1936年，在廣州，北方門徒認為應是信浸會(信了便會浸)，而南方門徒認為是浸信會(浸了當然是信)，於是投票來決定，結果南方人勝了(在廣州嗎！）。哈哈！
還有主餐（Lord's Supper)不等於聖餐 (Eucharist);我們食主餐，那些餅是有四大學說，同體說、變體說、記念說和存在說;亦有講怎樣才能受浸....聽過後，才知浸信會是什麼，使我獲益良多。
