The end
I am in the plane again returning to Hong Kong. These 2 weeks are really incredible.
Yesterday, I went to the Blue Mountain pretty early for trekking. On the morning, I just got a simply map from YHA and started my navigation. I didn't have any plan in my mind, just want to trek as much as possible.
Luckily, I got a good starting. First, I trekked down to the Katoomba Fall, very beautiful, with a long tail from the source. Then, I reached to the bottom and there is a scenic spot for visitors. Off course, I walked around only and trekked again to the Ruined Castle via Landslide (really landslide).
Passing the Landslide, I got into a rainforest for around 20 minutes. I found that it is unrealistic to the Ruined Castle because I should pay the time expensively and have to return by the same path. As a result, I returned early. What's wrong? I got lost in the Landslide. I was wandering for the right direction but not the right route for 10 minutes. I realized that if I was going upward, the cliff will be reached; going downward, I will get into the rainforest, even worst. I was calm but I started to shout "Anyone else?" No answer. I spent another 20 minutes to find out the route, got into the bush, got hurt on my arm, finally, got it.
And I trekked to another point, 3 Sisters, there were 3 cones together, it should be a interesting place, but I had to pay for 900 steps going upward. I read the indication, telling us around 2 hours to achieve the top. I didn't believe it. Finally, a hour was needed including chatting with people from Taiwan, Chile, Argentina. Interestingly, one and only one was going upward, this was me, so the people usually asked me "How far is it to the bottom?"
Trekking for 5 hours only, but it's enough for a day trip. Trekking in blue mountain should spend 3+ days with wild camp.
The trip was over. I am satisfied with my work and leisure.
I worked very hard so that I got credits from my bosses, they appreciated my work. I played hard as well so that I captured some good photos (I am longing my films to be developed).
Thanks God to arrange this great opportunity.
